By now you probably already know but, my name is Blake Lee Cockrell, B.S. You can call me Blakelee. I grew up in a little town in south Florida but, I now call Cullman, Alabama my home. I married my high school sweetheart at 18 and, I couldn't be happier! We now have a family of four with my little Harper Lee and Whitt Asher. I love all things involving water, the outdoors, books, paint, food,... I could go on forever. Most of all, I love Jesus Christ who helps me to make it through this crazy amazing life.
I have had many graduations in my 23 years of life. I earned a Associates in Science degree from Wallace State Community College Summa Cum Laude on May 11, 2012. Two weeks later, I graduated from West Point High School to receive my high school diploma. I have Wallace State's Fast Track program to thank for that. On August 21, 2013 I earned my Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Faulkner University. I have been employed by the City of Cullman Municipal Court since March 27, 2013 where they also previously employed me as a police dispatcher for the city. I became a certified Municipal Court Magistrate on September 20, 2014.
I now aspire to teach Criminal Justice Education at the post-secondary level. Therefore in August 2017 I enrolled in Athens State University's Career and Technical Education Graduate Program. I hope to gain employment as a college criminal justice education instructor in the near future where hopefully I can inspire students like I have been inspired by my past instructors.
